Gauselmann’s Merkur Gaming: Trade-Showmarathon in September

Espelkamp. “The past months were very exciting and fruitfull for Gauselmann’s Stella International and MEXIM, who are handling the international markets under the common umbrella of Merkur Gaming, especially since the target was to develop and test new products for our customers in the various markets, and thus to further the sales of our successful products“, said Rolf Klug, head of the international Merkur and Spielothek pillar of Gauselmann AG.

But now also new activities are focused for an intensive, stretching and successful trade-showmarathon in September.

Gamexpo Budapest – September 7 - 9

The starting shot will be fired in Budapest. At the Gamexpo, on September 7 - 9, 2005, the Hungarian partner SHS will present the entire Gauselmann product portfolio for the Hungarian market.

Within the past two years SHS established the touch screen “Trendy“ for MEXIM successfully on the Hungarian amusement market. Operators know that it is possible to achieve higher profits and customer retention with the “Trendy“ product than with other suppliers’ touch screen machines, even if they have been longer on the market. Based on this more than positive experience, MEXIM an SHS have also signed an distributor agreement for category I gaming machines. With the newest AWP “Merkur Diamond Casino“ from Merkur Gaming the distribution of category I gaming machines will be started, i.e. for the line up of machines with casino character.

Both partners are convinced that these products will be successful in the Hungarian market. “Merkur Diamond Casino“ offers not only an unique design but also special LED-based light effects and a second TFT screen with an interactive winning display. “We are certain that this AWP with adp technology tested throughout Europe will fascinate players“, Rolf Klug said. After all, Klug continued, adp Gauselmann GmbH is the only German company with certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000.

Another highlight at the SHS exhibition booth will be the novel roulette game “Lucky Wheel“. As the “Most Innovative Machine of the Year“ this product was awarded the esteemed Steef-Rouvoet prize in Holland at the end of last year. The innovative Space Car simulator for young guests will be presented to round up the product portfolio. It is the ultimate amusement machine for the modern “computer kid“ generation age 12 and under.

Entertainment Industry Kiev – September 21 - 23

Just after the “tents“ are struck in Budapest, they will be set up again at the Entertainment Industry Kiev on September 21 - 23. Together with their Ukrainian distribution partner Alliance, Stella International and MEXIM will present their current product portfolio for this East European market.

Three new video-based AWP´s will be shown from the Stella think tank. In addition to “Mouse in the House“ and “Lucky Pharao II“ this also includes the new multigame “Merkur Star”. All AWP´s are always manufactured in conformance with the highest quality standards and with the unique adp technology.

The three AWP´s are supplemented by the presentation of the roulette innovation “Lucky Wheel“. Rolf Klug is certain that, after its great popularity with the audience at the Moscow World of Games (June 2005), “Lucky Wheel“ will accommodate the gamesters’ taste also in Kiev.

The Kiddie Rides and “Happy Kids“ segment will further make up a large part of the display. Apart from the “Space Car Simulator”, the educationally valuable touch screen “Happy Kids” developed especially for children will be presented.

Of course the touch screen of the “fun generation“ “Merkur Trendy“, will be on display in Kiev, too. It will be presented in upright, compact and table versions.

Madrid Exhibition – September 28 - 30

Preliminary Madrid is a further highlight of the trade-showmarathon. On September 28 – 30 Stella International and MEXIM together with their Spanish partner will present the innovations “made by Gauselmann“.

Klug looks back with pride upon the great success of the slot machine “Cashline“, which took the Spanish market by storm, and thus opened it for a long-lasting impact.

“Lucky Pharao“, the first video-based AWP for Spain, will be the main attraction at the Stella International and Sente exhibition booth. Further, also the roulette variation “Lucky Wheel“ will be displayed in Madrid. “We are certain that we will continue the great results of the past with our current Spanish product portfolio“, Rolf Klug said.

In addition to the presentation in Budapest, Kiew and Madrid Merkur Gaming is showing its innovative products at two further trade-shows in Las Vegas, at the G2E (Global Gaming Expo) on September 13 - 15 and at the AMOA EXPO on September 14 - 16. With the ProGameShow in the Italian Bologna on September 22 - 24 and the FORBES in Prag on October 19 - 20 the trade-showmarathon ends in autumn.

For Rolf Klug the consistent product-development efforts and corporate positioning-elements of the past weeks and months have paid off. Our participation at the numerous trade-shows underscore forcefully that we will be successful on our target markets in the interests of our customers with the know-how and expertise of the Gauselmann Group“.

The Gauselmann Group generated total sales of 670 million euros in the fiscal year 2004 and has sold about 2 million gaming products around the world since its foundation. Thus the it is one of the major and innovative companies in this market segment. Almost 600 game developers all over the world underscore the expertise of the group in the area of electronic amusement with and without cash prizes.
