With the beginning of the year 2006 all international development and sales activities of the Gauselmann Group were strengthened MERKUR GAMING. MERKUR GAMING offers a full product-portfolio “made by Gauselmann” to cover the complete requirements of every aspect of the entertainment industry with a one-stop-shopping avenue. The recognized symbol of Gauselmann, the MERKUR Sun, bundles the corporate strength for AWP machines (single and multigames), Multiplayer, Touchscreen products, Sports games, Internet terminals, Money-Changing machines and Kiddie Rides under one roof – MERKUR GAMING. No other company in the industry has such a deep product-portfolio supported by experienced, energetic and targeted creative resources. Innovative products, the highest quality with ISO certification, as well as the credo of absolute customer orientation further strengthen the features of the international activities. Most products of the MERKUR GAMING product portfolio are exclusively manufactured by the adp Gauselmann GmbH. The focus is on the development of top quality games and products combined with optimised customer orientation. It goes without saying that the development, production and sales/distribution functions of adp Gauselmann GmbH are certified with ISO 9001:2000. Further the Gauselmann Group is THE recognized trendsetter for technical innovation. For example, the new LED technology, introduced by Gauselmann into the German market in 2002, demonstrates the expertise and focus of the Gauselmann Group on product development to meet the specific requirements of players, operators and customers. In FY 2006 the Gauselmann Group exceeded the corporate targets that it had set itself by far. The business volume totaled EUR 1.348 billion (2005: EUR 1.003 billion) with aggregated consolidated revenues of the three business units rising to EUR 1.007 billion (EUR 732 million in FY 2005). This corresponds to a revenue increase of 37,6 percent. Almost half of the revenue increase results from business acquisitions in the last two years. German domestic and foreign business contributed approximately 50 percent each to the total revenue. In FY 2006 the gross capex amounted to EUR 110 million (2005: EUR 110.1 million). At the end of FY 2006 the headcount totaled 5,493 worldwide, 4,145 in Germany and 1,348 abroad. This corresponds to a relationship of 3:1. At the end of FY 2006 99 young people underwent apprenticeship in the Gauselmann Group. |
